I am so excited today to announce the rerelease of Hope Ryan’s The Geek and His Artist. You might notice my name next to Hope’s on the cover. That’s because Hope Ryan is my young adult alter ego. I’ve decided to bring Hope’s titles in under my name as well as Hope’s.

Some of this is that I believe Hope deserves a bit more recognition than she gets in her quiet little YA corner. She is young adult where Grace very much isn’t (*wink*), but I believe my adult readers can still enjoy my young adult titles.

The other reason is a little less business and a little more personal. I haven’t made a secret of the fact that I have some pretty unfun physical problems. Fibromyalgia kind of sucks the energy out of a person and I’ve realized one way I can work with this is by bring Hope in under my name. It takes quite a bit to maintain separate personas. I’ve let Hope fall by the wayside while I focus on Grace because I do write a lot more as Grace. But I’d like to make sure you guys have the opportunity to enjoy Hope’s stories.

Today’s release, The Geek and His Artist, was the first major release from Hope Ryan. I have a few other titles that you will see pop up in the near future. I hope you enjoy reading Simon and Jimmy’s story as much as I enjoyed writing it!

You can find The Geek and His Artist at Amazon and on Kindle Unlimited.

And here’s the blurb!

Simon Williams spends his lunch periods drawing his geek and trying not to think about the terrors waiting for him at home. He needs to get away from his abusive father before he suffers the same grisly fate as his mother. Because he’s learned the hard way running away doesn’t work, he’s counting the days until his eighteenth birthday.

Jimmy Bennet should be spending his lunch studying so his senior GPA is good enough to get him into college, but he can’t seem to focus thanks to his distracting artist. When he’s given the opportunity to tutor Simon in Trig and discovers Simon’s home-life nightmare, he wants nothing more than to get Simon out of danger. This need becomes more urgent when Simon comes to school the Monday after their first date with bruises, but it takes a broken leg before Jimmy can convince his boyfriend the Bennets really want him.

But the danger Simon thought was past shows up at the most unexpected time, and he must stand up to the fears he’s held so long to protect not only himself, but the man he wants to spend his life with.
