I’d like to welcome Tempeste O’Riley. She dragged her boys, Chase and Rhys out to answer a few questions for us. Welcome, Tempeste! And thanks for stopping by!
Grace: What is your most prized mundane possession? Why do you value it so much?
Chase: Honestly, that would be a tossup between my wrist cuff and my ring. And nope, not explaining the significance of either 😉
Rhys: My ring, my bike, my white KITT… In that order.
Grace: What is your deepest, most well-hidden sexual fantasy? Would you ever try it?
Chase: Don’t know that they’re all that hidden any more 😉 Our author, Tempe, likes to watch and share…
Grace: Boxers, briefs or Commando? (And why?)
Chase: Boxer briefs 😉 Though if we’re talking about what to put Rhys in, I vote for commando all the way, hon!
Grace: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in Desire’s Guardian?
Rhys: You mean other than show how thick I can be at times? Really though, it would have to be her showing how much of a softie I am with Chase. *frowns* Big tough bodyguard and PI, but she wants to show my mushy side.
Grace: What is your greatest fear?
Chase: Losing my loved ones. I’ve already lost one; it’s not something I ever want to go through again.
Rhys: Not being there for those I care about. Whether it’s Chase or my buddies from my Marine days, that has to be my biggest.
Grace: What is one physical attribute you are proud of?
Chase: Hmm… my butt? *twists to look over his shoulder, trying to look at his own* It’s a great ass, don’t you think, Rhys?
Rhys: You’re an ass is what I think. *smirk* For me, I’d have to say my arms. Yeah, I know that’s not the usual answer, but I work damn hard for my build and strength. But the Welsh dragon tattoo band on my biceps looks great and I love showing it off.
Grace: And the most important: What three things would you take to a Desert Island?
Rhys: Behave, Chase.
Chase: *pouts* But how can I love on you while we’re on that lovely island without lube?
Rhys: *flushes beet-red* And on that note, I think we have to go now. *grabs Chase’s ass and hauls him out the door as Chase groans*

Most people see Chase Manning as the party-boy twink he seems on the surface. Only James, Chase’s BFF, knows the depth of his loyalty and the extent of the wounds Chase carries inside. When Chase meets Rhys Sayer things don’t go well, but he can’t shake his attraction to the huge, sexy man.
Rhys is a man of contradictions and fear—a strange combination for a PI and bodyguard. He’s in a bad place emotionally when he sets eyes on Chase for the first time. When Chase puts the moves on him, Rhys insults him, thwarting any possibility of a relationship. Rhys doesn’t see himself as a complicated man, but he dreads the very kind of connection he desires.
Just as they’re trying to overcome their uncertainties, Chase is put in harm’s way. Luckily Rhys and their friends have all the right talents to help Rhys save the man of his dreams.
